1926, 27, 28 Model M Parts Book information

Am looking for anyone with Repair Parts List booklet for Durant and Star for the years 1926 or 1927 or 1928.
I wish for you to check the "Top Bows and Sockets - Touring" section. It should list the 4 bows for the roof. In my 1924 and 1929 Parts Booklet, along with the part number there are widths and these differ.
I have been told 26,27,28 Touring had same roofs and hence bows. Could someone send me the widths shown for the 4 bows in their parts books (along with year of booklet).

thank you
guy

Re: 1926, 27, 28 Model M Parts Book information

Hi Guy.

From my parts book:

All Model M, M2, M4, 40, R, 55, 60 used the same bows.

Following part #'s and widths:

22841 first top bow 52 1/2" wide
22842 second bow 53 1/2" wide
22843 third bow 54 1/2" wide
22844 fourth bow 55 1/2" wide

Hope this helps......

This is some good info for the Technical page. The 22-23 C and 24-25 F used the same top. Do you have the measurements for them also?

Re: 1926, 27, 28 Model M Parts Book information

The 1929 parts book has same specs as Frank has sent.

More Info ... from Ricardo Colombo of Argentina

His 1924 Parts book says
1 - 51.5
2 - 50
3 - 52.5
4 - 53

4 jpgs included are his. They show width, height, arch shape and corner trim of bows.
His stuff is in millimeters (sorry U.S.A.) but translates to

1 - Width 52.5 Height 12.87
2 - Width 54.3 Height 12.60
3 - Width 56.3 Height 10.95
4 - Width 57.87 Height 12.47

Good Stuff, I find the Height and bow trim most interesting. And am assuming the lines (see jpg4)in the Height section of bow delineates where the steel holder ends. Knowledge of height outside of steel itself would be helpful.
Also, jpg1, shows a different Bow 2 arch from that of Bow 3 and 4, I invite comments on that particularity.
