I am disassembling my motor and am about to remove the generator gear. Once it all goes back together- do I need to mark the chain for timing or how do I properly tighten the timing chain?

If its anything like the 30 durant Model 614 you cant tighten the chain. have to fnd a new one There is no adjusting system on the chain that I have seen.
