I emailed the seller of the 1926 Star Coupe, auction # 190521096244, concerning the doors on the car. These doors have a belt line bead whereas the rest of the body is plain with no bead.
His reply was: That is the way it left the factory. I can tell you that they are the original doors.
I find this hard to believe and would like to have input from others about this detail.

Nothing surprises me with our cars. But it does look odd.

I've always thought the saying was "if it's in the parts bin it goes out the door"

Wonder how the seller can be so sure it came from the factory that way??

My M-2 coupe has the same doors but does have the belt moldings on the remainder of the body.

Didn't they make the coupster till 26 and in 27 go with the coupe? I also thought they had side curtains on the 25 and 26 and crank windows in the door didn't happen till 27 in the coupe? I might be wrong or right or close to it.

has anyone noticed that the door on the coupe on the other message would match the body lines on the coupe with this body ...the door should have another body line on this coupe...like the other door has......am i wrong????...gary
