I am looking for a place to buy another fan belt for my W5.
Where are 1 inch flat 38 inch long belts to be purchased ?

I checked with George Moir and the Fords longest belt was 36 inches.

Mac is correct, I use a NAPA 060400 belt on my Star's, slightly different length.

Thanks to date, I will check Napa store tommorrow.

But I do not have V-pulleys, on fan or crank. Both pulleys are flat 1" wide with small lips at edge.

So do I put on a 38" V-belt outside in etc ?

These are both "flat" belts.

Actually they are the serpentine belts used on modern cars.

They work fine on the flat pulleys. I've been running them for years on my cars. Plus if you ever break down they are available at most auto parts stores.

Napa Serpentine Belts are the best. They won't keep stretching. Just a word of caution. Don't over-tighten them. Could cause the fan bearing to run hot. Fritz

I use a Napa serpentine belt on my W5. I just turned it inside out so the flat side runs against the pulleys.

I have been getting my serpentine belts from my local bearing house...The belt for my W-5 engine is a Jason 380-J and is 15/16" wide.
