The restoration process continues on my "28" Durant D75 at a slow but steady pace. I am looking for information on the original colors for the transmission, differential and the undercarriage. Since the engine is the Gray/Green, one could assume the transmission could be the same color or black. I am assuming the undercarriage was originally a gloss black but not sure. Any help is much appreciated.

My differential, transmission are original on my car and they are black. The transmission is gloss black and the differential appear the same. I would think the frame was gloss black too. Most car frames were painted flat or low gloss at a later time than the 20's. Mine is Gloss black and will be painted that color when I get to that stage.
