Hi everyone,
I´m looking for knew oil Rings to my 6 Zyl engine in a 615 Rugby pickup.
The truck is running like hell , we didn´t have any trouble until yet but I found out the engine is taking oil more than usuall.

If any one could give me an advise where I could ask for rings would be fantastic.

Ok, thank´s for that adress I´ll check on that in Januar.

Does anyone know if it is possible to pull out the pistons komplett without moving the crankshaft ???? or is it possible to take it them out by moving the head ???

I just like to change the Rings nothing else.

If I have to move the Top I also need an adress for to buy a Head-Gasket ???!!!!

I´d like to aks you all these questions because the engine has not been opened untill now. I only took the oil-pan out to clean it out.

I'm not sure if the pistons will come out through the bottom or not on the W-5 engine, However I would think it to be much more difficult on reassembly both in breaking the glaze on the cylinders with a hone and or a greater chance of breaking a ring. I think the investment of a new headgasket would be well worth the money... olsonsgaskets.com will have the gaskets, also as another source for rings try J.P. Pistons http://www.jp.com.au/JPPistons.html they are Australias largest distributor (use a cast ring if your cylinders have any wear)...I always say It takes less time to do a job right than It takes to explain what went wrong.

One other point I should have mentioned, If there is a ridge at the top of the cylinders from ring wear this must be removed with a ridge reamer or their is a good chance new piston rings will bump this shoulder causing damage to the top ring and or the piston ring lands.
