Hello all.... In years past, We use to dismantle all of our motors and send the block to be boiled in oil before installing new freeze plugs and cam bearings. Problem is, I have never had to clean a block that has babbitted bearings! With all of todays newer chemicals and cleaning systems, My question is....What is the best method to get the motor block cleaned?

Cold carburetor cleaner. Steam clean the block first to keep excess grunge out of the expensive carb cleaner.
