Guess it is time to overhaul my carb. Seems to work but not well . I hope this is my last problem till I get the car running. Seems like I am still going one step foreward and two steps back . Have no more water leaking into the oil so at least that is fixed.I did manage to fet it running for a minute or so but it was very sporadic. Found the carb was flooding badly so guess its check time .
Any one with some helpfull advice ?? I have the spec chart and hope I dont have to do all the steps they list. The carb is a stromberg U2

U2 seems to be the main one for 30's, but W8A was another.
Could it be the float needle valve that's sticking ? I know Dots J4A we had to tap with a screw driver handle to stop gas flow.
Frank sells new carbs a few of the lads buy, for a 199 CDI motor.
