Hi everybody. A question from a Limey who is a total Durant novice. We have seen a very nice 1929 Rugby 4 cyl 4 door tourer here in the UK which was restored about 12 years ago in NZ, hence R H Drive. We are considering buying the car for wedding hire as tourers are always in demand for weddings. Question 1. How will we get on for parts for this car? I assume that any parts we required would have to come from the US, or would anything be available in the UK.That's not a problem, but what is available Stateside? Question 2. What would you say is a reasonable dollar price for a very clean and usable car. Good underside, good paint, good hood and weather gear and good interior. Haven't heard it running yet but by general condition it should be OK. Hope to hear some good news as we like the car. Best wishes from the UK, Bob Perry.

However; I'm not at all sure that these values apply in Europe. The Rugby is a Durant which was made for export. Therefor you can check under Durant for parts and information in almost all cases.
BEST SOURCE OF PARTS---is the club membership.
While most parts will be available for the U.S, Canada and Australia you'll find your fellow Rugby, Star and Durant owners very helpful the world over.
Most parts for a W5 four cylinder engine are still plentiful and several members make reproduction parts. The car you are considering is most likely a model 40 and most parts will interchange with 1928-29 Rugby, Star and Durant models M-4 40, 55 and 60.
