Carb settings

Hi everyone
I am still trying to get my car started. Its close but no cigar yet.
Can someone tell me what the carburetor setting should be?
There are 2 meedle valves on the stromberg U-2 carb. How far out should I be turning them to begin with ? It turns over really nicely and I am quite sure the timing is as close as I can get it with out the motor running.
Any info would be a big help.
Thanks
Ken

Re: Carb settings

Hi Ken....

On an old AEA tune up chart I have for the Stromberg U-2 carb it only shows one adjustment and that is idle. Starting adjustment is open 1 turn. Turn in to richen mixture.

I will email you a scan ot the page.

Hope this helps......Frank ---

Re: Carb settings

My 1935 AEA tune up, is for a Tillotson W8A and says Idle Speed 3/4 - 1 1/4 turns. Right to make richer.
High Speed 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 turns. Adjust at engine speed equivalant to 25 MPH
