water pump part

Does anyone have an end plate for a water pump for a 1930 Durant 6 cyl. engine they can part with? I have a good housing I can rebuild if I had the endplate.

Re: water pump part

Arthur .. same pump as your 670.

406, 407, 416, 611, 614, 615, 616, 618, 619, 633, 670 and 685. Looks like any 30 - 33 Durant or 31 / 32 Frontenac had the same pump.

Re: water pump part

I don't think so Norm.....The 670 is a 29 and uses a 15U Continental.

Re: water pump part

I wondered about that. 670 is fronty 1932 so yours is a 70 then and no not the same.

Re: water pump part

Dorothy is behind a snow pile thanks to our dumping, with more on the way ,or I'd photo the end. This is out of a 1930 614 owners manual. Round plate with raised center for bushing and shaft end, if my memory serves me right. Its been since the mid 60's since I had one apart. So you can't just put a flat piece of tin on the end of it.

Re: water pump part

Having trouble signing onto photobucket, so can't post pics.yet. Norm, you are right, it is a cast iron plate with raised center for bushing to support shaft end. It measures 4 3/4" dia.
