just purchased a 1928 m2. are the front pendelum arms, right and left the same? the right side arm on my m2 has an outward bend away from the frame about 2/3rd down from the mounting bolt. the left side is straight. the front rods were in the wrong holes where they attached to the arms. could not turn the steering wheel from straight ahead to the right until i disconnected the arms, seems like the interference is with the left brake rod and the steering arm. there have been three owners assembling this car so im coming in green. is there a part number to locate the intake gasket for the 152ci 4 cyl with front mount exhaust?
more info: both front levers display part #22452. right side one was bent and i straightened it, alignment looks good now. the interference still exits on the left front brake rod, it hits the steering arm. are these the correct levers for my m2 ?or should the brake lever have a bend, mine is straight. thanks for all replys.
Carl, The head gasket you need is a Victor 425. I'll send you an email with a photo of an M2 left front brake linkage showing the clearance required for the steering arm.
