Have you named your car?

Ok Durantonians, I was wondering if any of you have given your cars pet names? I call my 28 Model 65 "Abegayle". How about you?

Re: Have you named your car?

Sure Dorothy or Dorothy D, as she's quite the grand old lady. Don't know about belching and backfiring though,LOL.

Actually my mother called our 56 Dodge station wagon Dorothy (hydromatic push button controls) and somehow that's become the 32's name now. Now everyone who knows about the 32 automatically calls her that.

Re: Have you named your car?

My mother named every car she owned Betsy.
My first car was a 1966 Mustang; of course I named it Sally.
But the Durant doesn’t have a name as yet.

Re: Have you named your car?

My wife (Tina) calls mine the "Duct tape Durant".
as soon as it is put together with wood instead of
duct tape, I'm sure she'll have an honorable name.
Probably "Rosey" after my grandmother.

Re: Have you named your car?

I'm going to name my '27 Star Coupe "Belle". Since Graham Mock named his Car "Jimmy Durant" I decided on "Belle Star"! I think Butch is going to name his '27 Star Coupe "Ringo"!!

Re: Have you named your car?

Don,

Ringo is a good name, after all it was Don Durant who played Johnny Ringo on TV back in the 50’s.

Re: Have you named your car?

The way mine is going maybe I will name her tortoise--had her for 20+ yrs and she aint on the road yet. Or maybe rusty would be a good name. Better yet-Money Pit would be apt .
Actually I had not even thought of a name for her but will give it some thought now .Let you know what I come up with when I have a name --
