Horn Characteristic

The Oooga horn works great....except occasionally, usually when making many turns to park, it sounds on its own. It seems that internal wires must cross, and make a connection resulting in an unwanted sounding. Is there any wisdom on wrapping or "fixing" the wires in a way that is not affected by the turning of the steering wheel? A minor detail, but irritating.

Re: Horn Characteristic

Ron, sooner or later our Stars and Durants will begin talking to us, the trouble is they are pretty loud about it.

Actually it's a normal sign of wear to the horn wire. The old cloth insulation has worn-out, turning the steering wheel moves the wire and then shorts the circuit making the horn sound off. The solution to remove the steering wheel and replace the horn wire.

It's a simple afternoon job.
