Front seat removal

I want to remove the front seat in my 28 Durant 60, so I can replace to main right side wood that runs from front to back. I have looked at it and can't find any screws or fasteners. Is this fastened to the post and floor? If so, how do I get at it without tearing out some of the upholstery? Everything else is removed. Thanks again for the help.

Re: Front seat removal

Hi Al the seat is fastened to the post on both sides of the upper body you have to remove the uphostery just above the seat ,its a piece of wood wrapped in fabric easy to remove ,once the cover is off there is a metal bracket holding the back part of the seatin place.Once that is off under the bench part of the seat you will see bolts holding the bottom of the back in place? Let me know if this is not clear?
