Re" Decorative landau bars" -- am reluctant to try to twist off the knobs to remove the bars for chrome or nickel center plating (soft and original). Any hints to avoid opening a can of worms? Cordially, Ron

Hi Ron...

If you are refering to the decorative knobs at either end of the bars, they are threaded into studs that extend through the roofing material. Just turn off counter clock wise.

I do have new polished stainless steel reproductions of these knobs in stock....
