Hello Durant Historians
There is another brand new great book out called “David Buick’s Marvelous Motor Car” by Lawrence R. Gustin. Durant’s picture is on the cover along with David Buick’s picture and our man is all over in the book. It is a great book with only 231 pages and a lot of details about Billy getting involved and taking over the Buick Company. This book was put out by the Sloan Museum 6/23/06 and can only be purchased from them. Maybe hurry as they only ran off 2000 copies. Lawrence Gustin is an award winning writer and wrote the “Billy Durant” book in 1973. You can call the Sloan Museum at (810)-237-3441 or E-mail them at sloan@sloanlongway.org . Another old book (1975) available on Amazon.com for as little as $2.45 is “ A Most Unique Machine” by George S. May. It has Durant all over in it too. Highly recommend both books. Lance Haynes
