Fenders

I'm fitting the rear fenders and wonder should there
be a rubber strip between the fender and bodywork

What year/model is your car. The real early cars had no strip. The later years did.

Mine's a 1926 Rugby,six cyl. Sedan.
The fenders were off when I got it,but it looks like they bolt on.

I believe the 26 Rugby, like the Star and Durant, bolted directly to the body with no welting. I would be tempted to add a small strip of tape (like hockey stick tape) between the body and the fender just the same, as long as it is not visible.
