Timing

Can anyone tell me exactly where the timing mark is on the flywheel? I don't know if it is just covered with dirt and grease causing it not to be visible.

Re: Timing

Sorry. This is on a 1923 Star Touring.

Re: Timing

Hello!
Send me your email, and I send you the timing-theme for the Star. (from the '23 Star repair book)
Sincerely,

Re: Timing

Bill,

Take your crank and turn the engine over untill the keyway in the forward end of the crank shaft is up. Then wire brush the area at the top forward of the teeth on the flywheel. The marks (straight lines) should be three marks with letters. You may have sand off some of the paint. I believe this will work.

Good luck.

Bob
