Welcome back everyone, and welcome to any new subscribers!
Firstly I want to say a big thank you to everyone for the continued support, and for the warm reception that the last email received. Its great to hear back from people and know that you all are interested in the project and are supportive of what we are trying to achieve with 7ype and our film slate. I'm truly moved by the kind words.
So its been 10 days since the last email, and that time has literally flown past for me. I didn't even realise that I hadn't updated the Twitter feed for a few days and people were wondering what was going on - basically we were offered the opportunity to use a location that we had been on the waiting list for, because they had a last minute cancellation.
This offered a way to save money and make significant progress on a number of projects at once, so we had to jump at the chance whilst we had it. This was great, but it essentially meant that for several days were were shooting one film during the day, then on night shoots at the same time - barely time to think! But it has been such fun, and the new equipment that we bought with the 7ype funds have really helped to create great footage.
Our current lots of filming are continuing to this Sunday night, but for the week after that, we'll be back in the office backing up the footage and going through post production etc, so I will be online and updating a lot more.
On the administration side of things, we have officially registered 7ype as a British legal Limited company - "7YPE LTD" (number 10872909). We have also registered for a business bank account via Lloyds. These will allow us to keep everything legal and above board, pay our taxes and keep everything transparent on the fiat side of things.
All 7ype coins that have been paid for have been fully delivered. For anyone having trouble finding or seeing them in their wallets, please feel free to let me know via email (email@example.com) or message on Twitter (@7ypecoin).
I have had quite a lot of messages asking how to buy 7ype coins. Its pretty simple for those used to using Ethereum wallets, just send ETH to 7ypecoin.eth or 0xaE5d1861a9d125A5B9aabA863D909E8a5A62da15 ... again, any problems, feel free to drop me a line via the methods above. All coins are delivered within 24hrs.
So of course, now we are out of our 50% pre-sale and 20% bonus periods, and the price has gone up to the full 0.1 ETH per coin as advertised. We were planning on having our new website, video presentation and white paper online by now, and were planning on spending a small amount of money on a press release and some basic advertising, to hopefully drive more people to the project and allow us to raise more funds over the next month. However, because of the opportunity we were offered with the location as mentioned above, we have delayed this by a week or so. Its frustrating, but it is worth it for the progress made and the money saved (the location would have cost more than twice as much if it weren't a "last minute" booking).
Meantime, to keep momentum going, I would like to offer a proposal to anyone who has already ordered 7ype coins: If anyone would like to order more coins, we will match the price that you bought in at. For example, if you already bought coins at 0.05 ETH, and you order more, we shall deliver the new coins at that price. This only applies to those who have already bought coins, as somewhat of a "thank you" gesture. This was unplanned, but seems a fair way to hopefully raise a few more funds before we do our "big push" with the new site, videos etc next week. I hope everybody agrees this is fair? Please let me know what you think either way.
Also, something I feel I should mention. 7ype coins have no decimals - you can only get coins in whole numbers. Some people have been sending amounts of ETH that do not round off to equal coins. If there is a small amount of ETH left over after the coins have been bought and sent, I have been refunding this small amount, even if its only equivalent to a few pence. Also, if an order comes to nearly a full coin (for example someone pays enough for 5.9 coins) I have been rounding up. Whilst this means that technically some people may have saved themselves a few pence, it still seems fair - my assumption is that the person meant to send the full amount, but gas costs reduced the amount we received. Again, I hope that you'll all agree that the above system of partial refunds and rounding up (at our discretion) is fair, please let me know if not, I want to be as transparent as possible.
Over the next week I have some exciting meetings set up with some producers and directors who want to bring their films on to our slate, including some pretty big names. I even have the possibility of bringing in a literally A-List American producer, if we can raise enough money to hit the minimum needed to get his film on our list. I am massively grateful for all the ETH we have already raised, but please bare in mind that any extra raised between now and these meetings will only help to be able to secure more projects and films and increase the viability of the platform. If you fancy getting some more coins at the cheaper rate as discussed above, please do, but also if you want to spread the word by sharing our project via social media, that would be enormously appreciated.
By the next email update we shall be sharing a huge wealth of information - new website, presentation videos, longer white paper, and details of more films, and more directors and producers using our service. Its an exciting time to be in the 7ypegeist! I really want to thank you all again for being here and supporting us from the beginning - this really is starting to grow into something very special that I think will be producing great films, and creating jobs and creative outlets for many years to come. I feel truly blessed that you all have put your faith in me, and I won't let you down.
Hope you all have a great day!
All the best, Samuel Victor (twitter: @samuelvictor @7ypecoin)
