Capitalization (or lack) Making directories/images come up not found?

I noted recently that all of a sudden on both my aazari.com and JolieBonnette.com domains that the server seems to be getting nitpicky about capitalization. For instance if you put in www.aazari.com/badhead_gadroon it comes up 404 not found. But if you put it in as www.aazari.com/Badhead_Gadroon it comes up fine. I noticed that this is effecting image files on my JolieBonnette.com site. I had to go and fix things so that the capitalization matched in the HTML and the Bravenet server. This was never an issue before. Is this some sort of feature that can be turned off or altered? If so, How do I do it?

Browser: Firefox

OS: Windows Vista

Re: Capitalization (or lack) Making directories/images come up not found?

This was a change bravenet made some time ago.

Need to keep up on things with newsletters and more from bravenet.

So if your images/files don't match now it is because of the issue you stated.

Nothing you can turn on or off this was a bravenet change so can't unchange it

Re: Capitalization (or lack) Making directories/images come up not found?

That is the default on all non Microsoft servers. Bravenet did have some software to compensate at one

Bit old this one

Re: Capitalization (or lack) Making directories/images come up not found?

Yeah, it didn't become apparent to me until I redid my website and had to go over it with a fine-toothed comb to figure out why some images and pages weren't displaying properly despite the fact that they'd been verified before I loaded them.

Windows is not case sensitive, Unix is.

If you have professional hosting you can upload a .htaccess file to fix this by using:

Code:

CheckSpelling On
