domain already bought through bravenet, now want to upgrade web hosting from free to paid
When I am trying to upgrade web hosting it says existing domain name transfer charges $ 8.95 extra while new domain name free with paid web hosting packages.
Since I have already purchased domain name through Bravenet last year, is it possible to continue with same domain name and pay only for the ad-free web-hosting.
Please help as my domain expires in Dec 2010.

If you have a domain with bravenet already in your account
login to that account where the domain is and click on domains tab and I am sure there should be a link their somewhere that says upgrade hosting if you are using free hosting with your DOMAIN you have.
But since you said the Domain runs out in December so will have to renew the domain and pay for your hosting as well.
As they are two seperate entities.
Usually by the domain or subdomain you have their is a link to upgrade hosting
