OK, an Australian run site, hosted in Canada with a .com domain. Search engines tailor their results to be relevant to the enquirer's location. All the clues that they have say USA and Canada not Tasmania.
Also they need words to index, your home page just tells us who owns it.
Register with Google and set your location. While you are about it create a site map. Google gives instructions on that.
Put some more content on the home page to say what the site is about, and add "Tasmania" to the address.
Get relevant links from other local sites concerned with outdoor persuits.
