I desire to have free website at bravenet but when attempting for Sign UP, the page appears with the following message:

There is a problem with this website's security certificate

Due to above problem what should I do to sign up for a free website

OS: xp

I have just signed up for a different account and did not get that message

are you sure you are signing up right


1. Login to your bravenet account
2. Under the Web Hosting table area is a button that says Add website. Click it
3. Click on bravehost button
4. Click the button under the FREE table area where it says sign up now
5. Click build a new website
6. Then click on use a SUBDOMAIN
Enter an easy enough subdomain in that white box and hit submit and your SUBDOMAIN should be available.


Some people tend to think they need a DOMAIN but you want a FREE SUBDOMAIN

So make sure you have done the steps CORRECTLY

Click OK and carry on.

I have known bigger names than Bravenet leave renewing security certificates to just after the last minute.
