Ignoring your own visits is an option on setup. It all depends on what you chose.
It identifies your visits by setting a cookie on your PC, once the cookie is deleted then it will start counting your visits. Again how long the cookie lasts depends on how you have configured your own PC and on what security software you are using.
To reset the cookie switch off the "ignore your own visit" option and save your settings then switch it back on and save again.
