I have two questions. First, I set up a new directory but how to I move files into it.

Second of all, on one of the directories,the home directory, the area to list my files expanded by about three times both horizontally and verbally. (Look at the home directory under the above website.) This happened after remaining at a workable size for about three years. This is only happening on the home directory not on images or music. Please advise what I can do to return this to the original size. Thanks, Tim

1) You don't. You upload them again to the new directory, delete them in the old one.

2) I thought you were talking about a directory in file manager, but then you said Look at the home directory under the above website. So what are you talking about? Or if my first guess was right, how are we supposed to look? And how does a file manager change size "verbally"? (says "I'm bigger"?)

My first guess would be that you uploaded a file with an insanely long file name.
