New to web hosting, need help getting my site working.

I have read through a couple of the other threads that seem to relate to the issue I am having, but nothing I try is working. I uploaded my pages using the file manager and they work, (though I have now noticed I have forgotten my .css page)
I can go to http://sharkmancreations.bravehost.com/Home.html and my pages work fine. But when I go to http://sharkmancreations.bravehost.com it says that my site is still under construction. I know I have to do something with the index.html but I'm not sure what.

OS: Windows XP

Re: New to web hosting, need help getting my site working.

you need to change your home.html page to index.html then the under construction page will be gone

Your main homepage needs to be index.html

that is why you have the under construction page that is how it looks for your page and more with any host

Your Pink Birds and Big Birds page still seem to be there.

Did your update include renaming or deleting a lot of the other files? If so, you should have stayed away from index.html.

You should probably also have kept the style.css file.

On the BigBirds page you urgently need to replace the huge images (2.2 mb each) with something the same apparent size, but under 20-20 kb. Resize images in Irfanview (or something) before uploading again.

Re: New to web hosting, need help getting my site working.

Thank you for the help. I tried changing my home.html to index.html before and it didn't work. Not sure what I did differently this time. Again, thanks.

And Corwings, I think you have the wrong thread.

I guess you are right. So totally the wrong thread. Can't figure out how that happened.
