Just wondering why it is when I send or forward an email from my Bravenet Webmail account, it changes to plain text eg no bold headings or coloured text, and also goes into a format whereby the main message is condensed to one side of the box where the message is composed.
After doing some research I found out this was by design. The default line wrapping (at 75 characters) is from a time when only text-based terminals were used (You know, the 80x25 ones with a glaring text green color). Apparently even today that is the standard for plain-text emails. While we could look at increasing it, we want to maintain compatibility for those in a text-only based environment.
