While domain names usually point to a web site, purchasing one does not automatically give you a web site. Domain names and web hosting are two separate issues. Many people get them confused. In your Bravenet account manager, you should see your domain name listed. You can apply that domain name to either free or paid hosting.
In the Web Hosting section of your Bravenet account, you should see a listing for "domain names". Follow that link if you need to change any of the settings for your domain name. To create a web site associated with that domain name, use the button at the top of the Web Hosting section that says "Add Website". This should take you through the process of creating a web site. You can apply your domain name to a free web site or purchase hosting.
If you don't want to pay for hosting, be careful in your selections. Hosting will cost much more than just a domain name. If your just starting out, it's good to use the free hosting. Then, when you get more experience, you can easily upgrade and get rid of the advertisements.
