Re: LOF In Randolph

haha why don't you teach me

Re: LOF In Randolph

Pilkington (LOF) in Randolph shut their doors on Sept. 29, 2017. It came as a HUGE shock to all of us, as that location was always so busy. Still not sure why they did it......

The only locations remaining open in the New England area (that I am aware of) are:
Worcester, MA
Cranston, RI
Salem, NH

We were actually one of the shops that originally received deliveries out of Randolph....we now use Cranston. Still awesome customer service, though.

Re: LOF In Randolph

Heard Salem PLK is on its last legs.

Re: LOF In Randolph

Two Pilkington "executives" doomed the company's aftermarket business. It is amazing that the board has not held them accountable. They tried to defy the principles of economics and competition.

What do you mean exactly?

Re: LOF In Randolph

We all got laid off in September 2017. We were told the company was "restructuring"
I worked in that building and business for close to 30 years. It was a bit of a shock but not really surprising given the way the industry seemed to take a turn. You're right Old Timer,it sure was a group of good guys dedicated to our customers and a very well run warehouse.
Hope all is well with all our former loyal customers! We gave it our best every day but time to move on. I miss my customers a lot but the corporate bureaucracy not so much.

Re: LOF In Randolph

I thought service sucked and it is no shock that this branch and many others closed. Took customers for granite.

Re: LOF In Randolph

That’s a stone cold reply.

Re: LOF In Randolph

He's just mad because we wouldn't deliver to Bedrock. You can't please everyone.

Re: LOF In Randolph

there is no LOF spcl ed.
please go rent a movie at blockbuster and stay off of here.

Re: LOF In Randolph

I always heard they rocked at service, but I guess that was all fabricated and counter to the top truth. They obviously became quarry for other suppliers. Luckily everyone didn't lose their marbles and the artisans that worked there started with a clean slate.

Re: LOF In Randolph

yeah that was back in 1986 LOF didn't exist anymore.
he is about 33 years late to visit them.

better get in the DeLorean to make that visit Old Timer ...lol
