ReCalibration Tool

Who did you purchase your re-calibration tool from and how much was it? What do you charge to do in shop recal? Is this something a small shop can provide for customers rather than send them to the dealership for recalibration of their vehicle? Can you recal if you're mobile (we have both mobile and in shop techs) Trying to figure out more information and what shops are using now days. I am interested in learning how to recalibrate for our business. Any info is appreciated!
is the Opti-Aim even available to purchase?

Re: ReCalibration Tool

The Autel MaxiSys takes the least amount of space for static recalibration. The setup is expensive, $20k+. The learning curve is pretty fast and the tech support is great. You can easily charge customers/insurance the same amount the dealer would charge for the service.

Re: ReCalibration Tool

The OptiAim is available, we have two units. Good training system... Doing quite well with re-calibration. They have an express kit for dynamics only for around $5K.
