My friends at Mygrant!!!!

I can't get answers, so I'll throw it out here and see if something comes back.

Before we bought our disinterested employer, we did a moderate amount of business with Mygrant. Towards the end however 50% of what they delivered was damaged. Returns were not picked even though we ordered other parts. Then parts weren't delivered or ones we didn't order were. The worst was one a week myself or the salesman had to load up a van and take 2 hours out of our day and do returns to make room for deliveries. Time and money lost. I had to take the keys back so they couldn't deliver and made only a few will calls. The "manager's" response was "Well your not ordering much anyway". Gee, I wonder why. Hey at least he had a great attitude!

Now that we have taken over I wanted to give it another shot....My mistake. Damaged parts not picked up even with other parts delivered.

As a small company we were at $8000 in parts in Feb. We are looking $11-12 this month. Mygrant will only see $500 - $700 because of the poopy service. But hey, we don't buy much anyway.

Thanks
An p'ed off paratrooper

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

The situation that you just described sounds exactly like PGW, not Mygrant. It must have more to do with each city/branch and the management at that branch. Memphis is awful!

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

Jumper-just curious..where abouts are you located. Maybe we can help.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

Well, I'm not in the Northeast. About 9 hours away

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

why do auto glass nobody makes money anymore got out in 2007 ,stick with flat its pays the employees and the bills

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

We do auto glass because we make a fair profit, which also allows us to pay our employees and have a decent roi. Guess we know something you don’t.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

It blows my mind that on this forum there will always be a group of people that post something completely unrelated to the topic. Trolling? ADHD? Or maybe like me, you like to hit the single malt when you get home. I'll bite though, since it looks like I'll never get satisfaction on the Mygrant issue, and I enjoy a good argument. So….

No money in autoglass. I did enough work in 2018 to bring in a bit more than $300,000 in revenue. That's enough to float the company and bring in a nice profit, we are small. Every guy we can put in a van gets us 12-18 thousand profit per month, at 2/3 the workload I do. I think you are right. There is no money here. We will shut down forthwith.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

Try one of the facebook groups, more activity there.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

****, that means I would have to get into social media. Good suggestion though.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

Which Mygrant branch were you getting glass from? I will reach out to the Regional manager and sales rep if you would like.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

I would prefer not to put that out to the general populace. If you have an email or other contact, "that would be great".

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

I just found out from the office manager that Mygrant keeps taking the part off of the return list. I guess they think we will just pay for a part delivered with an oyster on it. We keep calling in in and online they take it off. How disreputable.
At this point I'm not sure I would ever do business with them again. If Mygrant gave a poo about their reputation there are people at that location who should never been put in management. I guess PGW will get more business....
Before I was just annoyed, now I'm mad.

You'll be making a major mistake if you plan to switch to PGW - Memphis!

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

This is proof that from one region to the next suppliers are different. We get good service from Mygrant. PGW is the worst. Go figure.

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

I wont name my area, but where I am, PGW is the preferred vendor for quality deliveries. Say what you may, but their manager cares, and the glass we get from Mygrant is either never cleaned and inspected, or its scratched or damaged.
My 2 cents...

Holy S@#T.... Were you reading my diary ? I'm in the same boat.. This company has fallen off the cliff as of late.

Why don't you just pick up the parts yourself and ask for a discount for doing so?

Re: My friends at Mygrant!!!!

too much time out of my day. We did that for awhile, getting them delivered gave me the opportunity to do another job a day.
