ANYONE HAVING ISSUES WITH RECALING THE 2018 TOYOTA TUNDRA PICKUPS THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING US THAT TWO TRUCKS WE DID NEED NEW WINDSHIELDS BECAUSE A DEFROST CODE WILLL NOT LET THE RECAL GO THROUGH

I deal with this problem occasionally. The heater that mounts behind the camera is very flimsy. unfortunately the heater is only available when you purchase an OEM glass. The smallest bend of the wires will render the heater inoperable and throw a adas code.

WHAT CAN WE DO WE HAVE REPLACEED THE WIRE ALREADY I HAVE ORDERED A NEW OEM GLASS BUT NOT SURE THAT WILL WORK EITHER

if YOU REPLACED THE WIRE FROM ANOTHER PILK WINDSHEILD THE WIRE IS ALREADY BAD TO BEGIN WITH. THEY HAVE RECALLED THESE AND SHOULD NOT EVEN COME WITH THE WINDSHIELD.

Sorry , you also cant order the wire alone by itself from dealer as a separate part. Its not the installers fault, but yet see where the liability always falls! Cheep parts from Manuf.

THANKS HAD TO ORDER OEM GLASS AND REPLACED THAT WIRE AND NOW WE DONT UNPLUG OR UN HOOK ANY WIRE AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS
