Hi guys,
Looking at getting back into the glass business after leaving the industry for a while. I was wondering how the market looks for rock chip repair only type business. I actually enjoyed doing them in a former life. Is it still doable to make a living with just rock chip? thanks!
$20 to $65.90 a day max, this of course after the discounts.
Seeing as though Safelite has negotiated them down to $3.00 1 chip and
zero for additional so you do the math.
Still a little money left.
You say that while SLite is charging 129 just starting to do repairs. If SLite changed their cash price the insurance market would crash on chip repairs. Imagine if SLite kept up with us independants... and charged lets say 60 bucks. Then insurance companies will see the biggest autoglass company in the united states say chips are worth that so we want a bigger discount. then your getting 20 bucks to do repairs rather then the 60 to 70 bucks you get unlike lynx that starts out a $50 sometimes downwards to $40. Let that sink in a bit. Just saying...
