I hate to tell you this but your story is so out of place. You are obviously out of touch with what is going on out of the trenches.Its not the guy that knows how to install, and that has worked hard at his profession. Its is the Bu!! **** company s out at some fair ground asking every person if they have full coverage insurance. They will give you a 100 bucks if they can change your windshield. Then bill the insurance company from some obscure State where they can bill for list plus 20%. Wake up its these internet company s in some obscure state buying the glass from the distributors in you neighborhood having it sent to you so they can make 20 bucks a job. And don't get me started about the TPA that are no better then the internet company s, but at least they don't send you the glass. But that will be next. So get your head out of your donkey N. And by the way N if you do any work for a Company (body shop, car dealer, insurance company) other then the end consumer, you are a subcontractor.
