DW1845 rain sensor

Installed a DM1845GTYOEM and the rain sensor isn't working, the original pad stayed on the sensor and I stuck it back up.
Besides changing the pad which I am going to try, any one have any other ideas or know of a reset?

I was able to go in to the menu through the steering wheel, and tun the rain sensor off then back on. It worked after that

Interesting on the diagnosis and remedy you found there. Thanks for sharing as this might come in handy if anyone needs to try that route. We always have had to buy new r/s and that always works too. Never tried your remedy.
