If You Want Better Quality Glass, be Prepared to Speak Up 0 Posted by :Bob Beranek On : March 2, 201

Bob, you are a nice man and well-intentioned. But you are naive.

Kvetching about quality to the manufacturers and distributors has been going on forever and it has not helped, it does not help, and it will not help.

In real estate, it is location, location, and location. In auto glass, it is price, price, and price.

Should it be that way? Irrelevant. IT IS THAT WAY. Always has been, is, and always will be.

TPA's and insurance companies care ONLY about cheap price and installation companies have to go out and buy as cheaply as they can.

The only light at the end of the tunnel is that as glasses continue to become ever more complex, only the OE maker will be able to make them and aftermarket producers will drop out as is evidenced by Guardian and Safelite.
