What variety of glass is heat resistant, and kids can handle easily please suggest?

There are many heat resistant glass types, but all used for many different reasons. But I cant think of any that the heat does not transfer through.

How about Borosilicate glasses? Do they work fine? Bought the set of this. Shopkeeper said this glass is used sometimes to pack special kind of medicines.
