Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

I don't do many so I usually just take the old one to the dump right after replacement. They don't charge anything but they don't pay anything either like scrap metal places do. Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

Re: Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

i think there are shops that will pay 150 for old windshields. haha.

Re: Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

When you find the guy who bought the Brooklyn Bridge, you have found the guy who will buy scrap windshields.
Ooops...

Re: Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

The more interesting question is how much do you have to pay per windshield to have them "recycled"

The interlayer means they cannot be made into glass again, so they get ground up for asphalt filler or other "uses"

For cracked ones? haha. Guess I'll just put a stack of'em in the trunk of a car I'm scraping and throw away the key. That is some heavy glass.

Re: Any places that pay for scrap windshields?

If you are a Safelite customer they will accept your recyclable windshields as they recycle millions of them each year.
