Freightliner Install

Have to install left side windshield on 07 freightliner century dw 1303 any pointers I normally stay away from big rigs but its a good account any help would be appreciated.

Re: Freightliner Install

Remove outer applique molding (3 T27 torx bolts + 1 T20 torx screw in door jam). Remove upper reveal molding (T20 screw in upper corner, peel the rest off the retainer). Remove wiper and center reveal molding (this molding is urethaned in and sometimes tears). Sometimes these can be tough to cut out, especially if they are original. Be prepared for a dirty pinchweld and oxidation on pinchweld (especially if replaced before). Seal where center division bar meets pinchweld really well or you'll have a leaker.

Re: Freightliner Install

Thanks, I didn't want to go in blind nice to have installers willing to help I chime i when I can .

Re: Freightliner Install

They are cake, don't be a typical hack and cut into the other side windshield did one tonight in about 20 minutes. the ones that suck are the sail panels with the bolt on the inside...

I use 20 on the middle. but that's just me...
