Crown vic rear door glass popping out

Hey gang... Installed a rear door glass on a police car yesterday and the window was operating fine when I left. Today it is popping out of the molding by the vent glass. I don't believe there is an adjustment to adjust this... am I wrong? glass seemed to fit great vent glass has some tolerance to move up or down, but if it is down any farther, there will be a gap at the top of the door.

any help is appreciated! Looking at it tomorrow mid day-
thanks!

Re: Crown vic rear door glass popping out

If it was kicked out you have to fix or replace the back frame/ channel might also include vent glass on crown vic they get bent bad from upstanding citizens kicking to hard

Re: Crown vic rear door glass popping out

that's what I was thinking on my way there... nothing is visibly bent, and the moldings guiding the glass are pretty flexible. I'll go in for a closer look and see what it needs. Maybe I can find a sweet spot for the position of the vent glass that doesn't leave too big of a gap-

Re: Crown vic rear door glass popping out

The guide on the regulator could be broken causing the glass to go up at an angle. Check for xs play.

Re: Crown vic rear door glass popping out

Just got back. All I had to do was squeeze the channel on the vent glass tighter together. It was kicked out, but the bend was so very slight. We'll see if it holds up over time. At least the mechanic and the officer know about the easy fix now if it does it again.
thanks!
