Re: lynx state farm

Since I do virtually no insurance work, I am Assuming that your calling in a job to State Farm? How long does it take if the customer calls direct?

Re: lynx state farm

Why put yourself through the torment? If Lynx calls don't answer. And why would you call them unless you signed up? Get the insurance info, direct bill, and collect if you're short paid. Done deal.

Re: lynx state farm

the question I have is: Why does the industry keep using the networks to bill? Seems that billing direct and then collecting short pays is a workable way to operate your business.

How many jobs come to a shop from "assignment"?

Re: lynx state farm

Who runs this place?

Got a rare dispatch from LYNX last week, new Mercedes. Customer had a deductible. Talked to customer and set appointment. Couple of hours later got another call from LYNX looking for a "bottom line bid", turned out to be the Mercedes that was dispatched to me earlier in the day! I informed rep from LYNX that i have this as a dispatch and that the cost of this windshield was expensive and over the customers deductible. Rep was pretty rude that i passed on giving bid, about 20 minutes later i get fax that dispatch was cancelled.

So i guess they cancelled a dispatch and whatever fee they get from it, to have State Farm customer deal with a hack with a cheap chinese windshield. Good luck with that lane departure camera!

Re: lynx state farm

Lynx is a rediculous steering machine second only to Safelite. Network shops have helped them ruin the industry. I refuse to let them bully me.
