JB, apparently safelite does not use the information they gather to determine where to open shops. Information showing pricing, volumne, must not assist any business decisions in any way. We now have absolute confirmation from an official source. Embarrassing to actually admit to a belief that a company wouldn't use every bit of data it could acquire to its advantage.

Your earlier mention of the unjust enrichment, tying into the 1099 issue.
One of the elements to prove unjust enrichment is the "additional requirement that the party accused of unjust enrichment must know of the benefit conferred; to ensure that the benefit was not foisted on the recipient and is something for which compensation is reasonably expected." A 1099 could not serve any greater purpose.
