No metal teeth and customer chose to remove the wires from the glass. It has the black aluminum insert moldings that you install in the groove prior to install. It really bothers me to get stumped by this. Myself I have 27 years in the trade and my tech has 20 and between the both of us we haven't had anything we could not install prior to this job. I've been reading many articles to see if I'm doing something wrong or these are that much of a pita. Windshield was easy.
Does it have the Targa top? If so you you will have to remove it to gain enough access to get it roped in. If so there are 2 per side 8 mm nuts that must be removed from inside the wheel well. Feeding the heater wires is fun, don't envy you been there done that.

That's the PITA part of the job......
But the customer has cut the wires for defrost. Mite want to check that gasket again. The aftermarket gasket crap is just that....CRAP...
I've thought outside the box throughout my career in the glass business as required. But I don't feel it's a good idea to chop on someone else's parts if you're unsure. That's why I've posted here for some tips.

He did give you a tip. Its just on what NOT TO DO !!!!!! What do you want from a guy that UPSHOVE'S Vette windshields with a blood stained butchers apron while bending the botton stops??????
Ya , I get it. Works part time in the meat dept for a couple extra bucks...lol
That's one way of looking at it.
My way was that he was butchering up the car and it was bleeding on his White Butchers Apron that is stained with the car's blood.......
There's 2 upper lips. If you trim the first 1/4 inch it will allow the glass to go in without taking off the SS molding. and it seals on the second lip. We always add a little extra urethane here to protect in case of a roll over. Man you guys tree a lot. Beech & Birch
