so we're attempting to locate a fw3650gby for a body shop customer. pilk and pgw no inventory...body shop calls s-lite, they have one in stock. pgw attempts buyout, s-lite says no inventory. customer calls confirms parts# and install date of next week for s-lite to do the job. Customer can not wait, s-lite says ok we will sale you the windshield itself for $xxxx, you can pick it up at our local center. body shop/customer says we have no way to transport it, can we send our glass guy to pick it up? S-lite says sure, anyone can pick-up. Call to set up time for pickup and glass had suddenly disappeared. No inventory period. Same glass was confirmed 2-3 times to be in stock by body shop/customer, b/c I told him OEM was my only option. Not sure what to make of it, but it really happened today. car was a 2013 Honda accord 2dr coupe LDWS/Collision ....anyone else run into this?
Most likely they may have had 1 in inventory, just not where you were. I don't think those brain dead isr's know the difference between North Dakota and North Carolina when it comes to inventory. "Sure we have one in stock, put it on the next truck". 3 days and 22 scratch's later, it shows up.
1 showing in stock at a Service warehouse location and its not there after a part check either mean 2 things. 1 part is damaged. 2 part fell off truck on to hands with $$$$$
Unless you are a regular customer of service you don't deserve an answer to this question.
Only those that purchase from a supplier and don't cherry pick them deserve access to the best ag stock in the industry and a good price.
for those silly enough to purchase from a certain wholesaler/manufacturer/retailer/TPA, it is only a matter of time until that smile is worn by the tiger. They will not be satisfied limiting your contact with customers, they will tighten the supply side when they are ready.
There was a young lady of Niger
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger;
They returned from the ride
With the lady inside,
And the smile on the face of the tiger.

This one is a REEAALLY BIG Ooops....
They are a TAKER, not a supplier.
What you claim only pertains to an real or actual supplier, one that does not take up 70% of the insurance work in your market.
Ooops...
When you say "pilk and pgw no inventory" that is just at the local warehouse. I don't have one in stock either, but...I can get one. There would either be a 4-10 day wait or a large freight charge.
thanks for the replies. both pgw and pilk had no inventory in my area. believe me, I hated to attempt a buy out from s-lite. In the end my customer is taken care of with a OEM windshield.
