CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT A LEAK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR OF A HUMMER MIGHT BE FROM. IS NOT THE WINDSHIELD BUT OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM SINCE THERE ARE MANY FORUMS ON THIS, BUT NO SOLUTIONS. HAS ANYONE ENCOUNTERED THIS?
the w/s was replaced. its always the problem.... ask any dealer, body shop, used car dealer, insurance agent, or anyone else that has no idea what they are talking about or their fifth cousin on the left side of the family tree ..... LOL. And then check the roof lights and luggage racks.
Open sunroof.Pour water in the sunroof drain. If the tube has disconnected or the drain is clogged.Water will start to get floor wet and also drops of water will come from the side handle on the A pillar.
Just as xs said. I had this exact problem. The drain tube for the sunroof goes down pass side post and behind the dash. As my customer witnessed, I opened the sun roof and poured some water down the front pass side drain and every ounce of water ended up on the floor.
As I looked behind the dash, above the glove box area, there is a plastic tab that the drain tube plugs into. The tube was not connected. Connect the drain tube and your problem should be solved.
Just fixed my neighbours
Under the cowl is a white snap retainer when new it is tight and has a gasket that seals
If you calk this it stops
It looks like it would just drain into the cowl area but nope strait into the cab
roof rack leaks, light bar leaks, sunroof drain leaks
where the fender attaches to the body leaks.
but they never do it until we touch the glass lol.
Good luck
Ok ! Maybe now we are getting somewhere. However, my leak seems to be seasonal. After afreeze /thaw it starts again. Was fine all summer. They keep telling me roof drains.check. Now what you said makes more sense. Do I approach this from outside after removing the cowl ? It does leak from inside dash (firewall) and from top glove box. Making me crazy.
