Wanted to know if you noticed the weird posts in the windshield section of the tech forum?

On is a link to a medical site, and one is a "funny joke". Hackers?

I think Bryan's off this week maybe?

Must be he is usually on top of that stuff. The forum is incredibly slow as well to access.

Thanks for pointing out the weird post. Bryan is, indeed, off this week and I've been monitoring this forum, but have not been nearly as diligent about checking the Tech forum. Let me look into it and see what it is and figure out what I can do about it in Bryan's absence and I'll take care of it.

Never fear, Bryan will return on Monday and the world will be right again.

Thanks Larry. I just installed the recent phpBB update before I left. The tech forum hasn't been as much of a problem as the Window Film forum fortunately. I finally had to switch that over to where I have to activate user accounts before anyone can post. I've added some code to those forums that sends me the users IP whenever someone registers and interestingly about 95% of the trouble makers are from Russia and South America.

Yeah that PHP BBS my friend runs a site for, something called a mud? who the heck knows but every time he turns around there is someone hacking his box. I had to make all my boxes to where to be root you got to login through a real convoluted way as I was getting hacked.

What I do is block all foreign I P address's. What the heck does some Japaneses kid or some Russian kid need to be looking at bachmanautoglass.com for :) like he is going to book a windshield.
