Safety Insurance

Is any one else having this problem with Safety Insurance in Massachusetts? We are considering our options and we are wondering if this is a wide spread problem?

Apparently Safety has the customer call and report the claim. Then we call and get a claim number nothing unusual. Once we submit the bill they decide which is cheaper NAGS, Dealer or Premium then they issue a check based off of that. They shorted us $842 in five invoices stating that the dealer glass would have been cheaper.

The funny thing is they will not tell you what they are going to pay before the job. We got a job yesterday and called to verify the coverage. We told them that it is not available by the dealer and would be supplying the glass off of NAGS. Two calls later we are not getting any authorization.

They expect us to buy the glass from one distribution channel but accept payment off another. If this has happen to you please share with us what you have done and has it been successful.

For the first time we are considering small claims court against Safety, the customer or both.

Re: Safety Insurance

Have you contacted the state insurance dpartment?

Re: Safety Insurance

I am having the same problems, we lost out about $1200 in the same manner as you. They continually do not pay , even if there are no problems on our invoices. They do not call back and always lose any fax we send them. They are the hardest company we have dealt with. We even were taking the pics and doing the repairs they wanted. We too are looking into small claims.
