FYI: Just got an ATI brand DD11253 GTN for '07 Avalanche. Fits perfect were it not for the fact that the upper corner (opposite A-pillar) is not radiused, it's a 90 degree angle instead of about a 3" radius, so it only operates upward to about 2" from the top!!! I honestly don't see how ATI is in business, we have a good share of bad fits, tabs falling off, brackets for DB8317 and other SUV's glued in wrong places, etc.
Lee, I don't think so...the block size on D11253 is 21 x 31 and it fit perfect except that corner. The Suburban block size is 26.8 x 32.5. I ordered the part from the dealer, will let ya know what happens.
It fit perfectly except for that one corner, the other shapes, pattern, contours or whatever ya want to call it were perfect. If you could grind tempered I coulda fixed it in 10 seconds. Should have the dealer one tomorrow ...
Put in the dealer part today, was exact same shape/pattern as the ATI brand one we tried, BUT it has a rounded corner. Fit beautifully. Beware ordering ATI for this one.
There is nothing wrong with the ATI DD11253 it fits the Cadillac Escalades. The DD11163 is what you needed for the Avalanche. NAGS has this wrong in glassmate. 2007 chevy silverado 1500 classic uses all 06 parts according to NAGS.
Please explain:
From what I am understanding here, The DD11253/11254 only fits the Escalades and not the Avalanches for 2007?? Why doesn't NAGS send out free fixes when they screw up like this?
