I have this customer who ownes a body shop and he called me today and asked why am I buying glass from you? nags is more in line with the dealer and the dealer gives me 20% off there list and and you are giving me 10% off and sometimes+ 20% and I spent an hour with him showing how the suppliers don't recognise the nags list and the net pricing what a mess, he has been my customer over 15 years. He told me he was glad he wasn't in the glass bussiness nags Not A Good Source
I had a similar situation with a body shop that I have done work for, for YEARS. He had called for pricing on a couple of things but didn't call back to schedule. He called me on the third and I asked him about the others. He told me that my pricing was higher than what Insurance would pay. Then I had to explain the restructuring, etc. He was still pricing off the old list pricing. Once I explained all this to him, he started pricing right and getting jobs again. He was so totally confused!! It's not just AGR shops that are getting messed up with this!!
